Selfish??? ain't that BAD!

Majority claims naively that selfishness is wrong and that service must be offered in a "selfless" manner. We live in a world that does not recognize the option of rational selfishness but barely assume selfishness as an act of "Hitler" maybe. We are taught from childhood that we must be either self-sacrificing or thoughtlessly "selfish" which can never help it fitting to our "human" society these days.

Selfishness does not denote a self-destructive behavior. Choosing to pursue one's career choice is selfish; choosing to have children  or not to have children  is selfish ( even tough this is not the age to discuss it *winkz*). Demanding freedom rather than living under a dictatorship is selfish. Even crossing the street in a manner to avoid an oncoming car is selfish yet responsible. If this seems too wrong then why don't you let the car drive you straight to heaven.

Again, I maintain that our perception of "selfish" is the problem. Contrary to popular yet undiscovered "fact", all healthy individuals are selfish  (don't blame me if its unfamiliar ). Rational selfishness is the means of living both a moral and psychologically healthy life. So why blindly make a foolish statement selfish people are hitler's babies!!!! (oh well, i made that statement i suppose *giggles*) First of all, do understand the circumstances! Don't simply judge and label people just because you can! Remember!  If you can , so do others!

Sometimes a rational selfish act of your friend might give you an ugly sight concerning him/her. But trust me, if you an observer then you remains one.As for you the dream of being an analyzer is like the blowing wind . It touches you but you can't grab it nor see it!  And just through the touch some act like they have it all. Yeah, as i always say " Keep on dreaming!!" Let see how far you can go.

Well, its a selfish world! What more can i explain on a clear-straight fact! Its your life! Sculpture it with your own tools. The world??!!! duh, you think you can please people?? If its a "yes" then go and start making a kite so you create a good past time while it winds :-p .. If its a clear "NO" then yeah join the club!!!

~Dream Vs Fantasy ~

Now and then we all do envision about things we would like to be different  ; places we would like to visit and people we feel would add something to our lives.

It is actually one thing to have dreams, quite another to live in a fantasy world. fantasy world? hmm something like imagining you are in the fairy land where a pumpkin can be turn into a fantastic coach! well, then all the best in finding a gigantic pumpkin in which you can fit your sculptured body in! . Living in a fantasy "heaven" with nicey-nice pictures framed in your mind is like imagining a star falling right onto your palms! fun isn't it? anyone dare to say it's real?  this is fantasy! imagining thing that are NOT practicable at all! those who have been following my blog will surely be able to predict how much i hate LAME things! My definition of fantasy = super lame!!!  Ain't gonna happen babe!

Ok now hitting on DREAMS! Everything starts with a dream. Look around you. Everything that you can see was once just an idea, a dream in someone's head. Without dreams, we would still be using clubs to hunt for dinner and living in caves like dave the barbarian!!! lolx.. We need dreams for our lives to progress.

But to live in a dream wonderland, where our dreams are out of touch with reality is not healthy at all pals. There are two problems that I see on a daily basis. One is people whose dreams have no connection to the real world, more like the fairly land people living in a land far, far away.. Damn far man! unreachable! They are not dreaming, they are hoping that some magic fairy will fulfill their wishes.

The second and far greater issue is people who are always dreaming of doing the things they are capable of doing but fail to take the action to make those dreams come true. They, frankly speaking we fool ourselves into thinking that if we dream long enough, their dreams will somehow be fulfilled. more like waiting for time to take its course. "let it be" kind of policy..

I do reckon that you need dreams. You must have a vision of a better life. But visions without actions are mere wishes. this message not only dedicated to my readers but also to myself! Finally to all the faithful occupants of the land far ,far away, do pack up!

Love is purely SELFISHness !!

"You love only when you're after something inaccessible; you only love what you don't possess"

As i talk about possession, it denotes me talking about selfishness. The need to have, to obtain, to own are real proves for our selfish personality. I am pretty sure this is what teens look for in a relationship MOST of the times. right? answer for yourself pals!

We say we're happy when we are getting involved in a relationship ( the main reason people *fall*). We feel joy when the person next to us loves us and gives her or himself to us. We want to have all she or he could offer. We want to take her or him every thought every feeling every moment of her a life. This is selfishness. But on the other hand what is wrong if we ask the things that we give in return? hehe look who is asking! *chuckles)

It is wrong because love should be a free choice, without any restriction. We should give all that can be given without, note that word "withOUT" asking for something. Only I could say we really love. If we love a flower we love it for its perfume or its color. We love it because we want to love it and we can choose it from many other wonderful looking flowers. This flower has nothing to do or say..o yeah it's basically a flower uh! ;-) It lets itself loved. If we see another one more beautiful we give up to the flower we love and start loving this one. This is a choice made only by us. That is why we are selfish, because we cannot give all we have without obtaining something in return.Humans you see! can't runaway from the facts! We seek for pleasure, tenderness or happiness which make the main aims in living a life!

How about thinking to put ourselves into the flower's place? Are we still happy because someone leaves us for another one? No we are not! We have to struggle we have to fight to maintain the relationship. If we truly love we have to expect nothing, we only have to give a share. But are we capable of doing it? how many of you are?? i bet you keep your mouths shut now! haha good for you..

hmm before the holidays arrive everyone went crazy anticipating it but now?  i am pretty sure, hmm maybe very sure that most of us are done with it! i mean get bored of the holidays routine! when the holidays are short we tend to complain , even when its long we do the same! oh dear!! human beings you see! we can never please ourselves! so do others! but we expect too much some times forgetting this very important fact! haha i don't know why i'm talking about human psychology now! sorry, it has become my habit, more to a daily routine of mine..*giggles*

well guys, boredom kills me! everyday sitting in front of my lappy , "facebooking", blogging, etc.. hmm what else i do?? haihzz don't ask! each time i turn on the tv, nothing interesting will be on air! damn!! so now i've given up on it pals. since its "holidays" i have taken up a new hobby of sleeping! "sleeping as a hobby" well, you should consider that! nice hobby huh? i know i know you people are lovin it! this is the only thing that haven't turn me off YET! we will see about it as time goes by..

going out? hmm thats an interesting one! still, how many times you wanna go out in a week?? where you wanna go? here comes trouble! now you know where i got trapped.. going out can be interesting but it just cant be done in daily basis. it may become another contributor to your boredom.. well experience speaks you see *winks*

now lets talk about what nerds do! reading!!!!!!!!!! plain boring! the last thing i ever want to do! durgh i hate reading, but if its a magazine then i'm cool with it. still i can/will never consider this as a remedy for my boredom! cuz its SO NOT! i would rather sleep!! sounds more like me uh? YES YES its me

in a nutshell ,( such a lame way to start a concluding paragraph) you can never find 1 thing that can burn your boredom to ashes! (oh damn ,i'm lovin this phrase). so why thinking so much! don't tire your brainz k? go and sleep ;-)

I hate you! i hate your friend! her boy friend is soo awful ! she sucks!  how else you let out when you hate someone soo badly?? hmm trying not to cross certain lines, i prefer not to scribe any bad words here. if i do so then my whole post will be full of it! bcuz that much of new "terrific" words had been discovered by teens nowadays just to show their hatred on someone! oh dear how sweet you guys are!

CRaZy AMoUNT For My CRaZ3 !

well i'm feeling damn bored so i write.. hmm anything interesting? ok fine..lets hit on my addiction! seriously, i'm addicted to bags and shoes!! i have tons of them yet i can't get enough! don't ask why! cuz i know i won't be able to give any answer!

wherever i go, no matter whether its a branded shop or the ordinary ones, only bags and shoes outlets will catch my eyes!!! OMG!! i counted yesterday and get a shock of my life when i figured out that i have 10+ bags!! shoes?? 10+ too!! the number exceeds even the number of jeans and skirts i have! oh well, this is just the number and not the amount of money i've spent on my addictions!!! ITS SUCH A CRAZY AMOUNT FOR THE CRAZE!

even a few days ago i went out to buy gift for my mum since her b-day falls on the 29th november! i was planning on buying a bag and perfume. guess what? i bought 2 bags at once and had a hard time to choose which 1 to keep and which to give as a gift! damn!! here i go again! i loved both!! finally ended up confused...hmm that sounds like me *giggles*

hitting on shoes, i adore them more than cute guys!! haha kidding only! i'm actually planning on a pair of platform heels! maybe i will look for my new baby in mid-valley as i'll be investing there next week! such a word "investing"..*giggles* when it comes to heels, i am seriously stargazing on wearing high HIGH heels!! but according to my dad wearing extremely high-heels will make me look too tall plus weird!!! hmm what to do! my dad is always right..no objections..

when a girl or guy wants you , they will do say all sort of crap in this world to win you.. here we will even discover new definitions and terms which will even drive you insane!! i mean insanely in love! well whose fault is this? loving someone who have their own hidden intentions on you..believing all the scrap he/she talks ! If they don't need us they will wash their hands off ,so why cry ?This is what they mean by infatuation: we imagine something which doesn't exist actually does exist !We then get hurt and begin to sob ! Sob for what and for who ? All for one selfish nut somewhere ?!Love and marriage is not at all a bed of roses to sleep on.. its full of hidden thorns which do make you bleed not only at start off but at times life long! wondering what is the title all about??!! well i'm talking about marriage, wedding, tying the knot, end of single-hood or what-so-ever way you call the "auspicious"ceremony as...hmm the holidays just started and it no more seems like holiday season but also wedding season!!! what is so great about getting married? calling the whole "village" to the ceremony! well, i don't know..it is more of a family function but nowadays it is more to a showing off ceremony! dressing up in your best attires, wearing all the gold jewels you have and not forgetting the extra layer on the faces called "make-up"!! GAUDY!!!! 1 word that tells it all!!

come on..why is there too much of excitement? a simple yet merry ceremony is just enough yo fulfill the requirements of the tradition. the crucial one is the legal wedding! registering your marriage! some are too busy being fussy about the village gathering until they forget about the legal part of it! at the end of the day you poked you own eyes! what the fuss then!

oh well, i'm still 18..there is a long way to go!!! not really planning about all these things!! all i know is , this moment i'm still single and being such an adorable daughter to my daddy!!! hehe ...

tonight is the final night i'll be sleeping in siti mariam 3-6 for this semester! after all the headaches and stress for 4 months plus, finally here i am , at the end of semester 1!!! time flies uh?? i wont forget the bitter sweet that i went through along my 4 months journey of growing up! a lot i saw and that much i learnt! what else can i say.. i am just glad that things are back in their proper positions..i learnt where to put what! i glanced back at the old book of mine ,its dusty pages, all i did was smile..
life is just an unpredictable journey! no forecast for the weather of life as said by RG! life is neither paradise nor hell! life is basically journey and we all are the travelers. well said by robert frost in his poem the road not taken. the journey of life brings us either to paradise or hell!! here comes the old saying life is barely a choice! at the end of the journey, who chose what is all that matters..but don't worry as the moment of truth arrive, we all are under the ground. let me clear this up: we don't know the outcome until we finish a task! something like that...at the end of our journey in this spinning planet we will know the result! life had been a paradise or hell for us!! our choices makes our lives!

i had never given a thought how my life would change as the way it is now. not grieving nor regretting.. life is cool..being trapped by my own feeling in the chamber called "heart" for 4 months finally brought me to my senses. certain things in life are just not worth-it when it hits you at the wrong time. i made wrong choices. but happy to reveal that the same wrong path later took me to the right road i'm in at this moment.. if to regard it as "regrets" hmm maybe not..experiences and lessons learnt in life are not worth to be regarded as such.. i don't regret any of'em, all i'm trying to reason is how am i driven into taking decisions while knowing how bad am i at it.. funny huh?

hmm i have my own life to carry-on..the past is just a memory of lessons..still keeping all my dad's e-mails to me.full of awesome advices...here are some;

Relax my dear, be happy be cheerful no river is too big to cross no mountain is too high to climb its all in the mind.

Something to ponder ,...people wl throw stones at a full fruited tree thats no big deal let it be !Take the pain like the tree.The tree is not angry it still keeps fruiting. One day they those who threw the stones wld realise how foolish and silly they were!The tree has nothing to lose or regret.

Oh dear...

hmmm seriously i've got no idea why i put such a title here..anyway i will try to write.. today we've finnaly accomplished a part of our social studies project!!! finally!!! everyone is soo over the exhibition!!! OMG i can express how glad am i to say that it is FREAKING OVER!!!!! just imagine how tired everyone are the previous night busy preparing for the day!!!!! some didn't even sleep the whole night thinking about whats gonna happen? what the judges gonna ask? how they are gonna arrange the stuffs? etc i am seriously not one of them!!!hehe i was just concerned about the stupid costume that my group had chosen to wear!! Damn DAmn...hehe everyone knows that i was not satisfied at all about the selection!! but somehow i managed to pull through the day with the "prettiest costume"..you know what i mean? hehe anyway its OVER...all ended up well...even had a chance to try out kolam in santha's booth on culture!!! seriously loved their booth!!! nicely decorated! not forgetting serene and her wonderful blue dress ;-).. she looked soo fabulous and managed to become the apple of everyone's eyes!! ok thats all i guess...damn sleeepy

hmm i just watched this movie a few days a go...how funny is it to hear that a shopaholic watched confessions of a shopaholic?? interesting huh?? hm but the stry had nothing much to do about me since i dont have any credit cards!!! not for long ;-) actually my daddy promised me to get me a supplementary visa card..so i can do my shopping using it!!! hehe i know its kinda a little bit too head over the heels! to be frank i will be given the card to purchase flight tickets in case its an emergency and stuffz *giggles* but you know me ;-P unpredictable... let us just see whether my mischievous plan gonna work or not...fingers crossed..

here i go again!!! it has been quite a long time since i left my brain's compartment which is full of literature. Now i got to dust it back. yeah got an assignment to deal with using the compartment. i am seriously madly in love with literature since i love analyzing poems about life and how things work. in that case now i'm working on the poem called " sadie and Maud" for my english studies assignment.. group work again!! hmm prefer doin individual task..i'm quite of a loner i guess. i dunno, i guess soo..

coming back to literature, hmmm yup i'm cool only with poems!!! i don't really prefer short stories and i absolutely detest novels!!!! i hate'em to the max!!!! i love poems that talks more on relationships. i'm basically a practical person. i do and say things based on logic . so this type of poems suits me well and give me a lot of ideas to come up with.

Time ! Time ! Wait !!!!

Oh god its nearly the end of october!! it still feels as though i just entered IPGM KDRI!! time flies huh? hmm have to get a plane to catch it..everything happens for the good..you know why i say this? its because as time flies faster and faster, the semester holidays are getting nearer and nearer. maybe time is flying towards the holidays!! *giggles* can't wait to go back home! not only me but all my fellow comrades wish the same i guess..well, they should ;-)

I mentioned previously that everything happens for the good, but remember "everything" includes both good and bad things. the good i've stated and here comes the bad . to make it more realistic let it be worst. the worst part is that we have to complete all our assignments and submit the portfolios before the most anticipated holidays. hmm how sad :-(

being a student, these are the pros and cons! we have both plenty of assignments and plenty of holidays!!!! patience renuka! patience!! we have to cross the river first before getting to the other side. the sun has to rise first before it sets and close the day. assignments should be accomplished first before going crazy about the holidays!

18 DayS LeFt!!!

OK finally I'm using good English.it's not that good but acceptable. the countdown begins, 18 days left and after that i won't be here anymore. this doesn't mean that I'm going forever . i will be joining INTI-UC, Nilai.


So no more sitting at home , lazing around. i have to start back the daily routine of studying and the new routine of going for lectures and stuff. i really hope my college life will be as good as my high school life. lots of friends, no boredom. most importantly, i am expecting for a good roommate.yeah, we can only expect, you will never know what is waiting for you there. so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed. oh god, i can't imagine myself leaving my dad. I'm gonna miss him like hell. may be i should come back once in a fortnight or every week "winks". Nilai is not so far. the journey may take about 2.30 hours. it's not a long journey.hmmm i will go there and decide how frequent i have to come home. I'm gonna do foundation in science. i am clueless about the who programme because i don't know anyone who is doing foundation in science. i heard there will be assignments to be accomplished. i hate this part..ehmmm gotta bear with it though..haihzz

The 90/10 Rule (by Stephen Covey- author of the best-selling book, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People)

What is this principle all about? 10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react.

What does this mean? Basically, we really have no control over 10% of what happens to us. We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will arrive late, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic.

We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%. But how?

By your reactions.

You cannot control a red light. But you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool you. YOU can control how you react.

Let's use an example: You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just happened.

What happens next will be determined by how you react.

You curse. And you harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish her breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus.

Your spouse must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph speed limit lane.

After a 15-minute delay and throwing a $60 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs into the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to coming home.

When you arrive home, you find a small wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daughter.

Why? Because of how you reacted in the morning!

Now why did you have a bad day?

A) Did the coffee cause it?

B) Did your daughter cause it?

C) Did the policeman cause it?

D) Did you cause it?

The answer is "D". But how many people would actually admit to their mistakes...

You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused you to go through a bad day.

Here is what could and should have happened: Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say, "It's OK. You just need to be more careful next time." Grabbing a towel, you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you come back down in time to look through the window and see your child boarding the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on what a good the day you are having.

Notice the difference?

Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different.

Why?

Because of how you REACTED.

You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reactions.

What does one do after SPM anyway

When the invigilator announced the end of my final paper, I heaved a sigh of relief and put down my pen. A few blissful weeks passed after I had completed my Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examinations – weeks where I spent half the time hanging out with my friends and the other half basically lazing around.

As time passed, I gradually turned my thoughts to the burning question every post-SPM student eventually asks: “What will I do after this?”

I didn’t know what I want to do, but I knew what I didn’t want to do, so naturally I eliminated anything that involved Mathematics in excessive amounts, because I hate Math. Nevertheless, I briefly toyed with the idea of doing Engineering before dismissing it due to the fact I’m one of the rare, weird people that likes Physics and detests Maths.

Talking to the lecturers/ counsellors that were sometimes present at the different booths really helped too. Each of them provided useful insight into the course available:

Required skills
The course syllabus – how does it prepare you for your future career?
Available career options upon completion of course.
What does each career entail – how would your daily life be like?
One will undoubtedly gain a deeper understanding of a particular career in addition to the above points. Ask questions, don’t be afraid! Consider tuition fees, location of academies offering a certain course – there are many things a prospective student of tertiary education needs to ponder about.

Do allocate some time for your investigation. I spent two days wandering about in an education fair. Technically, I had already made up my mind on the first day and the second day was spent doing in-depth research on my chosen career and the course available. It was time well-spent for I may now state my future ambition with unshakeable conviction whereas I never knew what to tell people my ambition was previously due to uncertainty.

Some scholars opt to take Diploma course immediately whereas some would prefer a pre-university course. It is really all up to you and no one can tell you what you should do. Your future is involved, so do open up your eyes and ears, be prepared to embark upon lengthy debates with anyone who is able to provide advice. Make your choice wisely. It will definitely be worth studying your options carefully before making a hasty decision you may regret.

The cast, the director, the cinematographers, the editors, the wardrobe and makeup people, you name it, it was all spectacular. The children actors stole my heart, and the scene with the young boy singing at the train station -and I won't give anything way.. but this child tugged at my heart strings like never before. Man!! Please go see this movie, I plan on seeing it again in mumbai. I have to make my piece with it, and I hope these young actors will get the recognition they deserve, as well as the director and others involved with this project. This movie ROCKS!....
