Read between the lines

You need no search at the self-help shelves to understand life and your own self, even a simple folktale can be an ultimate eye-opener if you're just willing to read between the lines .

Learn and never ever stop

Don't count the profit by the amount of money you receive or kill to receive a certificate by the end of every undertaking. Learn sincerely, generously, you will never know when you might need what

It's simple

In a materialistic world in which everyone strives and chases after money, I'd like to work for satisfaction.

Old habits die hard

The habits that we pick up at some point of time once fossilized within us won't leave us. Just like a tattoo, we take them everywhere we go, for as long as we live.

Love Thyself

Just like a good book with a well-illustrated cover, the person you are should overpower youself more than your gorgeous hair and hour-glass curves (which is the ultimate stereotype surely), and that is the real deal!

An Investment

I was seriously not a big fan of lip gloss and rather prefer matte lipsticks than something that shimmers too much till my eyes caught Bobbi Brown counter at Suria KLCC. Truth be told, my sister suggested their lip gloss as my birthday present while I was still vague on what to ask or let’s try a stronger word ‘demand’. The lady at the counter was friendly enough that she tried on me a few shades both matte and gloss.  Instead of going for something pink or red I chose a more natural shade since it looks more real and not to so wrong in case my make up skills fails me at some inevitable circumstances.  The chosen shade; Kir Sugar ( it smells like vanilla) Point blank, I have heard some good things about Bobbi Brown Shimmer Lip Gloss. I remember reading it somewhere that it smells nice and lasts longer than that of other brands and they were all true indeed. I would recommend this to any girls out there who are looking for a decent gloss and are willing to pay out the 80 MYR  it demands per tube. Trust me, it’s worth the money!

You think I left the counter with just the gloss? You are so wrong ,because I did spend a hefty 135 MYR on their creamy concealer. You know busy people, we don’t get enough sleep, end up with a “ring” the next morning, so ya we need concealer to just fake it for the day. Don’t accuse me of being a spend thrift or shopaholic or what-so-ever! The thing being, I’m not so fair that I can’t find a concealer for my skin tone though it is reckoned to wear concealer that is slighter brighter. Even if a brand caters, the specific colours are not available at all counters you see. Take Revlon for instance, they do have one that suits my skin-tone, but I’ve searched at so many places and yea I failed!

Being told that Bobbi Brown products last long and the fact that I don’t use these things every day, I choose to call it an investment.

Deepavali Treats

4 things to covet on Deepavali :

1. Messenger Handbag from MANGO(as i promised)
Frankly this is not my choice of bag. I picked a tote bag which costs hundreds and my sister stopped me right on time before I splurge. hehe

2. Printed Dress from Zara
Ok perhaps the bag above doesn't match. Yes it doesn't! I'm gonna pair this dress with my grey ELLE bag. The bag from Mango is to be donned with my 3.Marks & Spencer blouse which i can't find its picture online.  My sister bought the same blouse as well! So we are gonna try to act like twins a bit i guess and we even requested or perhaps ordered my dad to wear white like the both of us =D

4. My birthday present from my sister!!! ( Creamy concealer kit + Lip gloss from Bobbi Brown)
Wish you folks a splendid Deepavali and an awesome fun filled holidays! Lotsa love <3

Rise Fall and Rise again

This is the thing about we humans, we tend to fancy happiness more than anything in this whole world that a single scratch in that fantasy moves us in such a psychotic way at times.

We rather do things that make us happy, be with those that keep us happy, stay at a place that serves happiness and more and more that incorporates the same mojo. And in some inevitable circumstances when we are unable to grab it, we either let that thing, person or whatever on the path go or begin to obsess over it. Normal I say.

If you were to ask me, like the rest I would pursue after happiness but I have the courage and will to trail it went it vanishes as well. You want something go get it, replace it or do something about it. Don’t sit there and mourn over long gone things because nothing is more foolish than wasting moments in the name of pausing. Time and tide.......( you know the rest!)

Yea it’s like convincing my own self. I’m writing this so it sticks better on my brain! Hehe

Rise, Fall and Rise again!

If POSITIVITY a subject, i'd learn it

Life has a way of teaching us the hard way. It’s hard and it is always that way isn’t it? or perhaps it’s just us. Lately some thoughts jolly haunt me to an extent I can’t ignore anymore because  it strikes me in a way that it convinces me, if I don’t act now I’m going to live the rest of my life the way it is now. No passion, No dreams, Nothing. I have been like this for a very remarkable period of time and I’m not going to let it take hold of me. If I do, then I’m perhaps jinxing my whole life.

I have to get rid of negativity from my life, in my daily encounters and just everything. I’m done looking at the sky saying its going to rain all the time. I have forgotten the sunshine and I have lost all the good times.  If there is a way and this is it, I will do all I can to welcome brightness into myself and spread it to people around me. I’m done being the philosopher, it's just demotivating. Sometimes looking at downside and negative aspects of life isn’t all about reality but indeed an act of climbing the mountain with a pair of 5 inches heels. The possibility of jerking outweighs that of conquering it. And true enough, I learnt it prior the act of climbing and I’m pretty sure you guys will as well.

Its never too late to embark on a right journey. The wrongs will always be there as a distraction and it tempts you more than a good thing can, nobody can deny that. We might have bowed to many and have surrendered a few times as well but that doesn’t mean we can’t give up on them and leave for the better or who knows the best life has to offer.

Positivity is seriously an annoying subject if you were to ask me. it’s plain boring, ordinary and just can put the person beside you to sleep. Yet don’t forget to become conscious to the fact that the good things in life are the ones we downsize and underrate. Maybe what we already have isn’t our fit at all. We deserve better, better view on things, and better perception on life.

Change is very subjective. You can craft it the way you want as long as you have the will. Put your heart into it, think in a way you can inspire others , you will eventually find success and most important of all peace along the way.

Teaching and Satisfaction

If you were to ask me what the 1 thing I live for is, I would answer satisfaction. There were actually times when my positivity was at its peak that it made me wonder, perhaps the satisfaction I mentioned is what lea me into this route. The education field. I have been asked so many times the same question by different people; Why do you want to be a teacher? A question many would stutter to answer. While some genuinely overjoyed when I say I’m training to be a teacher with the government, the rest pretended to be.

There are just a gazillion turn offs in being a teacher and let me point out the obvious;
It is a profession with no promise of fame, fortune or status.
It is a profession regarded as the last resort to many .

Just like everybody else, I had a dream ( I hate that line though) , I wanted to become a lawyer, so badly indeed. But my dream was cut short because of parental denial. My stubbornness then landed me in a foundation course offered by a private college which didn’t last long apparently. Later on, I received a government scholarship to pursue a degree in English language teaching without twinning. My parents greatly agreed to this because they did some research and found that teaching was a profession that provided a secure future not knowing the downside which is always invisible to viewers outside the field. I detested the profession because my parents liked it since I was the regular young & angry rebel. Even till this moment I fight about it.

Despite my futile actions, sometimes I reflect. Perhaps I fit in here, to be a teacher. My few experiences at school I should say did not guarantee or boost my passion, yet it did show I can teach. I requested to relief classes and planned activities only for the reason of learning about the likes and dislikes of kids and their expectations. When I have so much hatred for this profession you may ask why I did that, perhaps I care or there is satisfaction in it.

At times when I look at some teachers who barely even try to make the students understand, I get upset. Methods used are plain boring, no other supporting materials besides the text book which is apparently designed to just meet the syllabus that helps in nothing but excelling in exams. At the end of the day, these students learn nothing. I’m a strong believer that language can be made fun in various ways if the teacher can jolly push the envelope. Hence, it is indeed frustrating to see how some degree holders graduated from the overseas degree programmes who are specialised in teaching made zero attempts to teach and just shake legs bringing nothing but worse names to the profession. I have faith I can make a difference.

Therefore i concluded, if I succeeded I will stay and spread hope to the new generation but if the opposite were to take place I will quit after 3 years. Seriously!

It is hard for many to believe that some people would trade in LV’s for a smile in return but I will, merely for the satisfaction of it.

What do you live for?
I chose to live for more than fame, fortune or status.
 For the satisfaction of educating.

To be a teacher in Malaysia, you need to be nothing less than great!
Therefore I believe, if I can be a good teacher, I can be anything!

Stack Ups

Less is more and that is wrong ! The new trend spotted during the New York Fashion Week S/S 2012 (street style) certainly proven to be in polar to what assumed a fact.
Its not about the order..

Stack ups are coveted most highlight worn by many to further oomph their classy chic look and truth be told, little did the add ons failed to satisfy them.
BANG BANG !

If you fuss to even secure a watch, what you have to say about these ladies who carry their accessories around in lieu of bags?
The nail colour, stack ups...speechless...<3

You think less is more? I guess no.

This is my story...

I used to know a little girl who used to count days and seconds for the first tick of the clock on her birthday. Waiting upon the 3 souls who matters the most to her. To gather and sing, to celebrate and embrace, the day she was born with unconditional love. She used to have this small cake under her name with candles lit on the top to further sugar her day.  It was never a surprise she ranted always, but a yearly routine was yet so sweet.

The little girl is a vain one even since those days, so there she goes in front of the mirror to put on her best look to capture it in a frame. They sang for her oh not so good, yet the melody turned perfect with the tune called family. A wish was made but never did one craved, for what is a wish for a little girl who had it all. As the curtain closes years did pass and the little girl grew up with a few more birthdays which went as such.

Time flied so fast that she barely ignored the fact it might end one day. She might not have the small cake and for what matters the most, the 3 souls who used to make her day the best of each year. On her 19th birthday the realization came. She sat alone in her room begging for an answer,  to satisfy the position of her down the wheel called life. Why must the most important day of her life be juxtaposed with a day that hurts so much? Not that the 3 souls were the culprits but she was obviously a victim of circumstances. The case was of love but the battle couldn’t stand, for even love dies in front of the subject “lies”. The poor girl didn’t know.

Yet she opened her eyes at the first tick of the clock on her birthday, there she saw the three souls again surprisingly, not that that they came, but they were there. She felt so little for having forgotten them for so long, for having kept them hidden in the memories, feeling so alone frisked by guilt when a shoulder to lean was not one but three.  She saw hope, she saw the real bond. Some ties just can’t be broken isn’t it? and it always stay  till the end like your own heartbeat( perhaps they indeed are), which never get tired of giving you the precious breath and the feel of being alive.

She will always remember that birthday , her 19th birthday ; to remind her that life won’t always lend you a hand, it won’t pick save options for you, it won’t protect you and it doesn’t necessarily love you neither.  But no matter what, whether its lemons or candies, the 3 souls will always be there for her to treasure their forever little girl who grew up under their care and absolute love.

P/S This is not a fiction. (you should have known)

I LOVE YOU ALL SO DAMN MUCH!

Nude Shoes Always

Oh dear, is it that hot till your shoes got bleached??
Oh Oh

And I certainly ate my own words and yielded saluting’em nude shoes! I used to hate them  for the dull unpolished colour but little did I know, shameless footwear can turn eye catching and rule seasons in a row.

Don’t  you girls realize how a nude pair of shoes make a statement these days? Adding up to the femme fatale look, nude shoes are as well touted for their abilities to elongate your legs giving you the slim slender look you are striving for. Let me explain how the whole “lengthening” thing works. Wearing colours on your shoes have the potential of making your legs look completely chopped from your feet as they obviously distinguishes the “real” and the man made  A nude shoes though take it all the way from your knees to your feet polishing you with a classy vibe accompanied with a very slim and tall silhouette by adding length to your toned up legs. You need not envy Cameron Diaz thereafter!
wonders happen.....

BTW If you still stand by black for sophistication then I reckon you are still in those times we used to match pink with pink and green with green. The world of fashion has grown to the extent of blocking colours and its about time to move on to more chic look and not cheesy excuses!

Black shoes are so old school without a doubt and it certainly gave way for nude shoes to rule its way up.
One more good thing about these shoes is they allow your dress to shine instead of giving away the spotlight to the footwear and that means, you are likely to gladly pop your look by devoting a pair of them.
FABULOUS!!

There is just something so stylish about nude shoes; perhaps it is because .....I don’t know, something should be.
No gloss means MATTE!

So girls, get a pair pronto and let’s  go nude! (I don’t mean literally!). They say matte lipstick blends well with the look, try that out as well okay?
